I wasn’t sure what to think, but I just intended to stay open. As I tuned into my heart chakra the Goddess Serqet emerged. I always thought her statue guarding Tutanhkamen’s tomb (as pictured above ) was so extraordinarily beautiful and found it so deeply moving, albeit inexplicably so. And I always thought the symbol on her head was a little bird! Some little bird. It turns out this is actually a scorpion, and this Goddess is a protective Goddess who mediates the scorpion’s sting. I am certain this is not merely a talent in the literal sense, but more symbolic.
The first thing Serqet said to me was “Love fiercely”. And I felt what she meant in my heart. I thought in terms of my son, and it felt right to me. It was such a deeply profound energy of love and like finding my lost spiritual parent. She started explaining to me that I had been her priestess in the past. As she was explaining this the information went very deeply into my heart. I felt like I was being given a great revelation and truth of my past and my original identity. It was a homecoming to myself. She told me she was a Goddess of both healing and prophecy and that is how I had served her in the past.
Years ago she made her presence known to me for the first time. I dreamt I was in some kind of metaphysical store. I saw a sculpture of this thing that sort of looked like a spider with a woman’s head on it. It looked very strange to me. Its tail started vibrating with a rattling sort of sound. It scared the heck out of me! I realized the statue was enlivened. I looked at the sales clerk behind the counter, who seemed completely comfortable with this supernatural activity, to my shock and surprise. She said something to the effect that this was a very good omen, as she, the statue was very powerful. I ran out of the store in fright, in the dream. I woke startled and frightened. I couldn’t understand how the woman in my dream seemed to think it was a good thing that a statue became alive like that especially as it seemed to be a dangerous one. I often wondered about the curious dream, but no answers came.
Years later while studying the book “The Mysteries of Isis” by deTraci Regula, I turned a page in the book to a picture of the very statue I saw in my dream! I dropped the book. I could not have imagined that this thing I had seen in a dream was not just a creation of my imagination. I dreamt of something quite real that I never had laid eyes upon before in my conscious waking state! I gathered myself after a few moments to read that this was an aspect of Isis known as Serket, Selket, Serqet and number of similar variations. I never forgot this riveting experience.
Fast forwarding to the present when Serqet appeared to me in this experience more recently I felt that this was a special gift as a result of my vocational work as Priestess of Isis. It felt like a powerful acknowledgement and validation through the inner planes where she has been quietly guiding and observing my progress.
