Gods of the Iseum—Anubis |
|
Anubis, known as the Jackal God, is a kind and caring Deity who guides us in journeying work within the inner planes as well as serving as an escort so that we can safely arrive at the Halls of Amenti, at the time of our passing. I regret I have not yet found an illustration to do justice to the beautiful essence of this God.
I personally find this Deity to have such a beautiful loving energy. Perhaps because of his devotion to Isis, he deeply cares for those honor her, his adoptive Mother and Aunt. Perhaps such character stems from that loyal capacity we experience in the spirit of Dog Medicine. Because of my work with Isis, it seems he has emerged in my life in this way and has become such a great and loving friend, guide, protector and positive presence from the inner planes in my life.
It is said that the Great Goddess Isis’ spouse and brother Osiris, once mistook her twin sister Nephthys, for Isis. They had a trist that resulted in the conception of Anubis, or Anpu in in ancient Egyptian terminology. Nephtys abandoned the infant in the desert and Isis rescued him, without resentment for the circumstances surrounding his birth. She embraced him and raised him as her own. It feels to me that those who truly love Isis and those who serve her with loving intent attract the loyal protection and guidance of this beloved God. For all those who love Isis, are family to Anubis, so deep does his loyalty and protectiveness for his loved ones run.
You can call upon him for protection in the physical as well as during your work in the inner planes. He is an astute guide of character according to author Ellen Cannon Reed in her book “Circle of Isis” and I have experienced his this for myself as he will find ways to warn you of those to be cautious of.
